WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome!
We are looking forward to meeting you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What time is worship?

Worship starts at 10am. Musically, our services are blended with both contemporary and traditional styles incorporating both organ, guitar and percussion. We worship in both the sanctuary and the Great Room depending on the week.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the lot behind the church, accessible from the Burns Ave. entrance. Handicap spots are marked. You can also find street parking along Wyoming Ave., Burns Ave., and side streets

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in – jeans and sandals, or your Sunday Best.

We welcome you as you are.

What will my children do?

We love welcoming families and children!  Children are always welcome to stay with you during the service. A little “joyful” noise and movement is a welcome reminder of God’s love.  Activity boxes are available outside both the Great Room and Sanctuary with coloring sheets and fidgets to help children stay engaged with worship.

We also offer age-based faith formation during the worship service.

Nursery care is available for babies through pre-school age. A short bible story will be shared and children will learn of God’s love through play in a safe and loving environment.

Diaper Changing Stations are located in the men’s and women’s restrooms in the Gathering Space as well as in the family bathroom in the gathering area of the lower level.

Children in preschool through 4th grade participate in the first part of the worship service with their families. They are invited to the front for a Children’s Moment which is a brief message told through story and prayer.  After the Children’s Moment, children can return to their seats to stay with their parents or can go with our faith formation team members to our Godly Play room for an opportunity to hear a story about God and explore how their stories are related to God’s story. (for more info on Godly Play click here)

Nursery care and Godly Play are located in our lower level.

If you have a preschool aged child and are unsure whether the nursery of Godly play will be the best fit for them, please reach out to Lisa Kaufer, our Director of Faith Formation, lisa@pcwyoming.org and she can help you figure out which environment may work better for them.

If you have little ones who are staying with you in worship and need a break there is a quiet room nearby the sanctuary where parents can take their children to get out extra wiggles or regroup.

Youth in middle school or high school are encouraged to remain in worship with the congregation. Age specific faith formation for youth is offered in the evenings as part of our youth group program.

If youth would like to help nurture our younger children in the nursery or Godly Play program, please contact our Director for Faith Formation, Lisa Kaufer, lisa@pcwyoming.org
