Rev. Dr. Gordon Turnbull

Dr. Gordon A. Turnbull began serving as Interim Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Wyoming on January 1. Over his 34-year ministry he has served as Pastor/Head of Staff in three churches, most recently at John Knox Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC.
The opportunity to serve at PCW is an exciting homecoming for Gordon and his wife Betsy, who grew up in Wyoming as a member of this church. She is the daughter of Marilyn and the late Norman Thomas. Betsy and Gordon were married in our church in 1983, and they have worshipped with us many times over the years.
Gordon grew up in Mobile, Alabama. He has academic degrees from Davidson College, Vanderbilt University, Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, and Princeton Theological Seminary.
Gordon and Betsy enjoy hiking, biking, and time together outdoors. They are the parents of four sons and have six grandchildren.
Dr. Joe Taff

PCW’s Director of Music since April 2021, Joe is a versatile conductor, composer, and performer whose background spans classical, popular, and folk styles. As a choral conductor, Joe currently serves as Director of Choirs at Thomas More University, and has worked with numerous other collegiate and community choirs. Outside of choral music, Joe is also an experienced pianist and guitarist, having led worship from the keyboard and played guitar in funk, rock, and jazz bands. Joe holds a DMA in choral conducting from the University of Cincinnati, an MM in choral conducting from the Eastman School of Music, and a BA in music and history from Amherst College.
Lisa M. Kaufer [she/her /hers]
DIRECTOR OF FAITH FORMATION
Lisa has served in faith formation ministry since 2005, and joined the PCW staff in 2023 as the Director of Faith Formation. She is passionate about cultivating relationships and spaces where people are invited to play, share stories, listen, learn, and grow in faith together. Ministry Innovation, Intergenerational Ministry, and sharing faith stories through Godly Play are a few of her favorite things. Lisa is a graduate of The University of Arizona where she earned degrees in Communication and Spanish. In her free time, she is likely up to her elbows in clay, making pottery in her home studio.

Ernie Olszewski

Ernie just joined our staff this August and comes to us with 11 years of experience in the area of property management. He faithfully served the LifeSpring Christian Church as Manager of Campus Services and sees this work as a ministry. Ernie will be with us part-time, overseeing our building maintenance. Ernie also owns a landscaping company here in Cincinnati alongside his son.

Chris started here at PCW in January 2022. He comes to us with over 40 years of experience in church music, playing and directing. Chris was most recently at NorthChurch where he served for 24 years as Minister of Worship and Music. Chris is an ecumenical Lutheran and is married to
Lori Wallhausser.
